The Antigonish Casket - February 14, 1884

At Whitehead, Guysboro' Co. on the 27th January, in the 27th year age, Johanna the beloved wife of Eben Munro and daughter of the late Edward Hanafan of Lochaber.  Her demise after a brief illness has cast a sorrowful gloom over the community where she was esteemed for her many social and endering [sic] qualities.  She leaves a sorrowing husband and one child to mourn their loss.  Her remains were interred at Lochaber.  May her soul rest in peace.
