DAVID, William Patrick - 81, Port Felix, Guysborough Co., died Sunday June 20, 1999, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Martin and Rose (Richard) David. He was a merchant marine serving overseas. He was a legion member of Branch 117, Charlos Cove. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Felix. He was a lobster fisherman and worked for Department of Fisheries until time of his retirement, March 1, 1983. Surviving are his wife, the former Rita Marr, Port Felix; daughters, Claudette Richard, Halifax; Darlene (Cecil), Port Felix; stepdaughter, Doreen (Mrs. Howard Cashin), Port Felix; sisters, Vange Whippie and Chris Hubley, both of Halifax; grandchildren, Norma, Angela, Ashley and Brendon; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Raymond; sisters, Nellie, Genesta, and Elizabeth. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Port Felix. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Parish Fund or the Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. |
