ALONZO JEFFREY BOND
BOND, Alonzo Jeffrey - 88, Port Felix, Guysborough County, died March 21, 1993, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late James and Angeline (Pellerine) Bond. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Felix and spent most of his working life as a commercial fisherman. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth DeCoste; son, Ronald, Canso; three daughters, Louise (Mrs. Patrick Casey), Halifax; Kay (Mrs. Doug Sampson), Betty (Mrs. Wayne Ehler), both of Whitehead, Guysborough County; two brothers, Willie, Port Felix; Joe, Malden, Mass.; sister, Veronica Boudreau, Port Felix; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Eva, Florence Boudreau, Mary Marchand; two brothers, Leo, Larry. The body is in St. Joseph's Church, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. James Attwood officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Division. Arrangements under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
