DORT, Patrick Joseph - 64, Guysborough, died May 21, 2000, at home. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Murray) Dort. He served five years with the Royal Canadian Air Force. A member of the Canadian Coast Guard for 14 years, he retired due to ill health. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 117, Tor Bay. He was a member of St. Ann's Parish, Guysborough. He is survived by his common-law wife, the former Phyllis (Worth) Frazier; stepdaughters, Jamie, Michelle Frazier, both at home; stepsons, Michael Frazier, Mark Leonard, both of the United States; sister, Ella Dort, Antigonish; several nephews; one niece; one special step-granddaughter, April Dawn Williams. He was predeceased by brothers, Colin, Leo; sister, May LeBlanc, a sister in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Tuesday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Ann's Church, Rev. Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in Boylston United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations to Guysborough Memorial Hospital. |
