PETTIPAS, Marion - 85, lifelong resident of Larrys River, Guysborough Co., died January 12, 1998, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Larrys River, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Vennie (Pellerin) Richard. She was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Larrys River. She remained active in the community, where she enjoyed taking part in bingo and card playing. Surviving are sons, Peter, Larrys River; Rene, Pine Tree, Pictou Co.; Eldred, Lundy; Ambrose, Halifax; daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Leon Lacey), Bridgewater; brother, Leo, Meteghan River; Eugene, Larrys River; sisters, Geneva Avery, Larrys River; Emeline (Mrs. Leonard DeCoste), Frankville; Catherine Stone, Spryfield; Annie (Mrs. Albert Bunt), Margaret (Mrs. Ed Elder), Toronto; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William Dan; brothers, Eldred, Bernie; sister, Cecile Perkins. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, both in St. Peter's Church, Larrys River, Rev. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations to St. Peter's Church or any charity. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
