FRASER, Lawrence Martin - 93, Lawrencetown, Halifax Co., formerly of Dartmouth, died April 3, 1998, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late Frank and Ellen (Bellefontaine) Fraser. He was a veteran of the Second World War with the Black Watch. He then worked at HMC Dockyard, where he was a bosun on the Dundock. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Somme Branch 31, Dartmouth. Surviving are sons, Harold Fraser, Gaetz Brook; Kenneth Peters, Cole Harbour; daughter, Ethel Jenkins, Lawrencetown; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Mable Pettipas; his second wife, the former Effie Dorothy Barker; 11 brothers and a sister. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Legion service 7 p.m. Sunday, funeral 11 a.m. Monday, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations to Dartmouth General Hospital.
