Lawrence Currie Munroe, 82, of Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Whitehead, Guysborough County, died April 30, 1998, in St Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in White Head, he was a son of the late Berton & Lola Belle (Feltmate) Munroe. He was a retired fisherman and a member of the Whitehead Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Pietzsche, sons Paul of Beaverbank and Roger of Dartmouth, brothers Irving of Guysborough and Kenneth and Arklo of Whitehead, sisters Bertha (Ross) Farquarson of Cranbrook, BC, Virginia Barry of Dartmouth and Beryl MacMillan of Pictou four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson in infancy, brothers Randolph and Eric , sisters Leona Keddy, Geraldine Theriault, Evelyn Munroe. Cremation has taken place. visitation 1:00 pm Sunday until time of funeral 2:00 pm Sunday, both in Grace United Church, Whitehead, Rev Bill Ford officiating. Burial in Grace United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Grace United Church. Arrangements entrusted to G W Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. |
