CASHIN, Victor Joseph - 53, Lower Sackville, died April 22, 1997, in Halifax, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Victoria (Cashin) Fitzpatrick. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Bernard and Daulphine Cashin. He was a member of Scotia Branch Legion, Halifax, for 37 years; Iron Workers Union, Local 752, for 35 years, and the labour and stevedore unions for many years. Surviving are his common-law wife, Margaret Pippy; daughter, Patsy (Mrs. Wayne Pillon), Windsor, Ont.; son, Brian, Windsor, Ont.; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; brothers, Eldon, Havre Boucher; Bryce, Halifax. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, both in St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix, Rev. Dwaine Devereaux officiating. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour. |
