GROVER, William Lawrence (Bill) - 85, Halifax, died July 30, 1994, in Northwood Centre. Born in Charlos Cove, Guysborough County, he was a son of the late Winthrop and Charlotte Ann (Dort) Grover. He was employed from 1956-75 with Brookfield Brothers. He is survived by a son, Bert, Halifax; five stepsons, Layton, Riverton; Donald, Bedford; Floyd, Mississauga, Ont.; Brenton, Montague, P.E.I.; Merrill, Halifax; five stepdaughters, Vera Chaisson, Kingston, Ont.; Carolyn (Mrs. Donald Langille), Geraldine (Mrs. Carl Facey), Ramona (Mrs. Maurice Hatch), all of Halifax; Sharon (Mrs. Jack Denty), Wellington; two grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Lena Lavangie; second wife, the former Viola Snider; two brothers, Alfred, Stewart; three sisters, Martha, Nettie, Elizabeth. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax, Rev. Gerald David officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Charlos Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
