MacLEOD, Duncan Cameron - 83, Boylston, Guysborough Co., formerly of Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., died Saturday, April 27, 2002, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Kirks Hill, Cumberland Co., he was a son of the late Frederick and Ada (Matheson) MacLeod. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Sherbrooke Fusiliers in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium. He worked in the lumber industry as a skidder operator and was also a retired dozer operator having worked for several construction companies in Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Munroe Grover; brother, Maxwell, Port Dufferin; sister, Ethel (Mrs. Melvin Gorrill), Windsor, Ont. He was predeceased by sister, Barbara Hennigar. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m., both in Church of the Good Shepherd, Tor Bay, Rev. Peter MacRae officiating. Burial in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Cole Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., Country Harbour.
