Jane R. Richards died Oct. 19, 2002, at Winchester Nursing Center. She was 83. Richards was born in Carlos Cove, NS, Canada on July 11, 1919, daughter of the late James and Alice (Avery) Richards, and was a longtime resident of Cambridge. She worked as an office clerk at Mt. Auburn Hospital before her retirement. She was the sister of Francis Richards of Cambridge and the late Benjamin, Joseph and Leonard Richards, Mabel Kapchus and Margaret Murphy; sister-in-law of Michael Murphy, Barbara Richards, Emma Richards and Anna Richards; and aunt of Maureen Wilson of Hyde Park, Vt. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church in Cambridge, with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Arrangement were made by the Keefe Funeral Home in Cambridge. Donations in Miss Richards' memory may be made to Rosie's Place, 889 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
