MUNROE, Ralph Thomas - 79, Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, formerly of Whitehead, died March 6, 1993, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Canso, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mazie (Hurst) Munroe. He was a retired fisherman and construction worker. He was formerly employed with the maintenance department of Dalhousie University. He was a member of Grace United Church, Whitehead. He is survived by a daughter, Myrna Babin, Antigonish; three sons, Maxwell, Kenneth, both of Little Dover, Guysborough County; Merlyn, Antigonish; five sisters, Elsie (Mrs. George Taylor), London, Ont.; Mrs. Lillian Leavette, Vancouver; Thelma (Mrs. Bob Bell), Jean (Mrs. Harold Worth), both of Toronto; Myrtle (Mrs. Earl MacLaughlin), New Glasgow; two brothers, Russell, Eldon, both of Halifax; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hazel Spears; sister, Viola Lesberial; grandson, Thomas. The body is in Grace United Church, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Karen MacLeod-Wilkie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. |
