CASEY, Mary Eileen "Donna" - 53, Dartmouth, formerly of Charlos Cove,
Guysborough Co., died Sunday, March 7, 2004, in QEII Health Sciences
Centre, Halifax. Born in Charlos Cove, she was a daughter of Rita (Casey)
Grover, and stepdaughter of George Richardson, Canso. Throughout her
life she worked in various restaurants in Halifax. She is survived by
her long-time companion, Ernie Symmonds; daughters, Shauna, Bridgewater;
Shelley and Lani, both of Toronto, Ont.; brothers, Russell, Canso; Roger,
Toronto; sisters, Georgina, Charlos Cove; Connie, St. Andrews, Antigonish
Co.; Joanne, Prince Edward Island; Rose, Annapolis Valley; Dorothy,
Halifax; granddaughter, Barbara, Halifax; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Communities Along the Bay Multi-use
Room, Larry's River. Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Charlos Cove, Father Will MacPherson
officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial
donations in Donna's memory to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or
Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the dignified
and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral Homes Ltd., Country Harbour.
