DALEY, Amanda Irene - 86, Canso, formerly of Fox Island, died April 28, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Josephine (O'Neil) Munroe. She was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Surviving are daughters, Sarah (Eldon) Halloran, Guysborough; Marion (Donald) Sampson, Little Dover; Irene (Al), Canso; Regina (Michael) Hamer, Antigonish; sons, Howard (Vivian), Whitehead; James (Clara), Antigonish; Emmitt (Marilyn), Margaree Harbour; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; sisters, Carrie and Matilda; brothers, Livingston, Isaac, Matthew and Coleman; three infant daughters; one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating.
