HALIFAX, May
20 - Joseph F. King of Port Felix, and Halifax passed away in the
Victoria General Hospital May 7 at the age of 70. In 1953
Mr. King retired from the Nova Scotia Light and Power Co. after
having served their company for over 30 years. On his retirement
he returned to his former home in Port Felix where he took an important
part in community and church affairs.
He leaves to mourn their loss a devoted husband and father, his
wife Cassie and three daughters Mrs. Charles
Pellerin, Rockingham, Mrs. Dennis Casey,
Bedford and Mrs. Nick Power of Fairview.
A number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
After requiem Mass sung by Rev. Father Waugh in Our Lady of Perpetual
Help, Rockingham, his remains were laid to rest in Gate of Heaven
cemetery, Sackville.
The official pall bearers were five members of the Nova Scotia Light
and Power Co. |
