POWER, Venita Margaret -- 67, 1746 Bay Rd., Timberlea, died Monday at Victoria General Hospital. Born in Port Felix, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (George) King. She was member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department and a housekeeper at St. Stephen's Rectory for 12 years. She is survived by her husband Michael; four sons, William, Timberlea; Ivan, Terrance Bay; Allan, Hatchet Lake; Paul, Vancouver; three daughters, Marie (Mrs.Gary Myra), Judy (Mrs. Bruce Davis), both of Timberlea; Eileen (Mrs. David Dandy), Vancouver; two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Casey, Dartmouth; Mrs. Mary Pellerine, Rockingham; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Patsy and Catherine. The body is at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Lakeside, after 7 p.m. tonight. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Sacred Heart Church, Timberlea, Fathers Terrance O'Toole, Gerald David and Robert Floyd officiating. Cremation to follow, internment later in Mount Olivet Cemetery. |
