Andrew L. "Andy" -- 71, Old South River
Road, Antigonish, and formerly of Alton, Antigonish
Co., died Saturday, June 5, 1999, in QEII
Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Port
Felix, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late
Mike and Grace (Pero)
Pellerine He was a member
of St. Peter's Parish, Tracadie; a member
of Royal Canadian Legion, Arras Branch 59,
Antigonish; and a member of the Masonic Sunrise
Lodge, 116, Antigonish. He worked mainly
as a transport driver for Canada Packers, Toronto.
He served five years m the Royal Canadian
Navy during the Korean War. Upon returning
to Afton, he was a school bus driver and later
post master in Afton for 12 years Surviving are
his wife, Eileen (Sweetrag) Pellerine daughter,
Cathy, Grand Manan Island, N.B.; sisters, :Ruth
Shupe, Halifax; Mary Chernikhowsky, Vancouver;
Kay Forsythe, Prince Edward Island; Betty
Pellerine, Halifax; brothers, Fred, Enfield; Danny,
Halifax; Joe, Dennis, Timberlea. He was predeceased
by sister, Dolly Gurney. Visitation 8-8:45
a.m. today in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.
Funeral 9:30 a.m. today in St. Peter's Church,
Tracadie, Rev. Dr. John Barry officiating.
Cremation to follow with burial of ashes at a later
date in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
