-- 79,Whitehead, Guysborough County, died Monday in Eastern Memorial
Hospital, Canso. Born in Whitehead, was a son of the late Norman
and Maude (George) Munroe. He was a retired carpenter and a member
of Grace United Church, Whitehead. He is survived by a stepdaughter,
Mary Luddington Halifax a sister Josephine,
Watertown, Mass., a brother, Harold, New.
Glasgow. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Margaret
Spears; two sisters, Isabel, Gertrude.
The body is in Grace United Church, Whitehead, where funeral will
be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Karen MacLeod officiating. Burial will
be in Whitehead Cemetery.
