SURETTE, Allan Clarence - 69, Port Felix, Guysborough County, died Sunday at home. Born in West Pubnico, he was a son of the late Henry and Margaret (D'entremont) Surette. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Felix, and was a retired commercial fisherman. He served with the Canadian Army during the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Torbay Branch 117, Charlos Cove, Guysboro. He is survived by three sons, Francis, Port Felix, Leander, Charlos Cove; Wayne, Dartmouth; two daughters, Rose (Mrs. Harvey Richard), Carol (Mrs. Thomas Richard), both of Charlos Cove; a brother Albert, West Pubnico; 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Gladys Marr; two sons, Francis, Richard; two sisters, Angelina D'entremont, Eva May Surette ; two brothers, Clarence Joseph, Benjamin. The body is in St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix, where funeral will be 2 p.m. today, Rev. Neil McKenna officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Joseph's Parish. |
