PELLERIN, Peter Daniel - 78, Larrys River, Guysborough Co., died September 15, 1997, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born at Larrys River, he was a son of the late Augustus and Geneva (Pettipas) Pellerin. He was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Larrys River. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served from 1939-1944 in Canada and overseas. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Torbay Branch 117, Charlos Cove. He was a former employee of the Bedford Institute of Oceanography for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Surviving are his wife, the former Mabel Avery; son, Danny, Halifax; daughter, Christine (Mrs. Kevin Jarduck), Petawawa, Ont.; sisters, Helen (Mrs. Joseph Delorey), Legal, Alta.; Mary Cole, Tottenham, Ont.; grandsons, Jonathan and Jay; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William, John, Sylvester, Damien in infancy; sisters, Louise Avery, Rose McGirr, Elizabeth in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 4 p.m. Wednesday, both in St. Peter's Church, Larrys River, Rev. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in St. Peter's Cemetery, Larrys River. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Peter's Cemetery fund or Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
