FRANCIS EMMETT CASHIN
CASHIN, Francis Emmett - 75, 126 Purcells Cove Rd., Halifax, formerly of Port Felix, Guysborough County, died February 17, 1994, in Armview Estates. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late John E. and Annie C. (Boudreau) Cashin. He was a retired fisherman for 30 years and also worked as a labourer at Canso Seafoods. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix. He is survived by his wife, the former Velda Henora Cashin, Port Felix; four sons, Roderick Francis, Howard Patrick, Donald Anthony, all of Port Felix; Rev. Robert Emmett, Halifax; three daughters, Mary Ann Casey, Port Felix; Connie (Mrs. Gerald Rhynold), Whitehead; Donna (Mrs. Emery Horne), Little Dover; two brothers, Harry T., Dartmouth; John E., Port Felix; sister, Cecilia C. Dort, Massachusetts; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his twin brother at birth; brother, Howard; two sisters, Nellie M. Dort; grandson, Gerard. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Gerald Campbell and Rev. Robert Emmett Cashin officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements under the direction of G.W. Giffin Funeral Home, Country Harbour.
