JOHN EDWARD CASHIN, Jr

CASHIN, John Edward Jr. - 82, Port Felix, Guysborough Co., died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at home in Erinville, Guysborough Co. Born in Port Felix, he was a son of the late John Edward and Annie Celina (Boudreau) Cashin. John was a fisherman most of his life and he also worked in Canso Fish Plant, until his retirement. He is survived by son, David (Lynn), Dartmouth; daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Michael Morrison), Erinville; Barbara (Gary), Dartmouth; sister, Cecilia Dort, Massachusetts, U.S.A.; grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, Jennifer, Stephanie, Alicia, Angela, Jodie; great-grandson, Aden; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Florence; brothers, Francis, Howard, Harry and one brother in infancy; sister, Elanore. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral mass 11 a.m. Saturday, both in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Felix, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Parish Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to G.W. Giffin Funeral Homes Ltd., Country Harbour.
