CASHIN, Ruth

CASHIN, Ruth Florence - 77, Port Felix, Guysborough Co., died Tuesday,
April 1, 2003, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Canso, she
was a daughter of the late Murdock and Mary (Hurst) McNeil. She was
a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Felix. In earlier
years, she worked in the Port Felix Convent and later worked at the
Canso Fish Plant until her retirement. Ruth was an avid bingo player
and loved to play cards. She is survived by her husband, John
Edward Cashin Jr.; son, David (Lynn), Dartmouth; daughters, Beverly
(Mrs. Michael Morrison), Erinville, Guysborough Co.; Barbara (Gary),
Dartmouth; sister, Mabel (Mrs. Gerry Fougere), Canso; grandchildren,
Chris, Nicole, Jennifer, Stephanie, Alicia, Angela, Jodie. She was predeceased
by brother, Francis; half-brothers, Edward, Emmett, Patrick; half-sisters,
Cora, Alice, Ruth, Eva Berrigan. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, both in St. Joseph's Roman
Catholic Church, Port Felix, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Cremation
to follow. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations
may be made to St. Joseph's Parish Fund. Arrangements entrusted to G.W.
