Port Felix Parish Records
Baptisms 1853 - 1879
These records are from handwritten transcriptions of the originals. I'm not sure when the copies were made, but they carry some differences from the originals. One indication is that Port Felix is always referred to as "Port Felix", but in the earlier records should be referred to as "Molasses Harbour". Also many of the spellings of names were unified or changed to reflect how that name was spelled at the time. One example of this is that the Pellerin or Pelrine, was spelled Pelerin in the originals but is spelled Pelrine in these records. All the names in this database were spelled the same as the transcription. There is alot of room for errors with these. Please use as a guide. Mike has used these records in the "Guysborough Family Tree", so his conclusions may be of help.
