MURPHY, Margaret Claire - 79, Larrys River, Guysborough Co., died June 14, 1996, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born at Larrys River, she was a daughter of the late William and Jennie (Gerrior) Murphy. She attended OLA Convent, Arichat and Nova Scotia Teachers College, Truro. She taught school in Glencoe, Guysborough Co., and Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., before moving to Saint John, N.B., where she was employed as secretary for Greens Confectionary and King Square Jewellers. She retired to Larrys River in 1986. She was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Larrys River. Surviving are sister, Nina Murphy, Larrys River; brothers, Vincent, Lower Sackville; Michael, Cambridge, Mass.; 15 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Josie Doiron, Ethel Murphy; brothers, John, Raymond, Alonzo. Funeral 2:30 p.m. today in St. Peter's Church, Larrys River, Rev. Douglas Murphy officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Guysborough Memorial Hospital or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements entrusted to G.W.
