ARCHIBALD VINCENT MURPHY

MURPHY, Vincent Archibald - 80, Lower Sackville, died November 16, 2000, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Larry's River, he was a son of the late William J. and Jenny (Gerrior) Murphy. He was married to his loving wife, Irene for 53 years. He lived in Ontario for 42 years and worked with Ford Motor company for 26 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Surviving are his loving wife, the former Irene Jean MacLellan; daughters, Charlene Murphy, Sheila Merrett, both of Lower Sackville; brother, Mike, Boston; sister, Nina, Larry's River; grandchildren, Bryan (Caroline and Kayla), Ontario; Sean, Mark, both of Lower Sackville. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Richard Merrett; brothers, John and Raymond; sisters, Ethel, Margaret and Johanna. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Memorial mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Reception to follow in church hall. Burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or QEII Foundation Pancreatic Islet Program.
