PORT FELIX, Guysborough County - Funeral was held in St. Joseph's Church, Port Felix, for Alvin Michael Spears, 44, of Dover.  He died May 16 in Canso Memorial Hospital.  Born in White Head, Guysborough County, he was a son of Elizabeth (Casey) Spears and the late William Spears.  He is survived by his wife the former Beverly Bouchie of Dover, four daughters; Cindy (Mrs. James Richard), Canso; Mary, Lisa and Della, all at home, two sons, Michael and Freddie, both at home, three brothers, Robert, Port Morien; Frederick and Howard, both of White Head, seven sisters, Frances (Mrs. Frank Taylor), and Loretta, (Mrs. Hughie Taylor), both of Truro, Bertha, Mrs. James Boudreau, Halifax, Margaret (Mrs. Owen Munroe), Doris (Mrs. Thomas Parker), Annie and Lucy, all of White Head; two grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a son Dana Jerome, two brothers, George and Ralph; a sister Georgina.
